So many women move through the perimenopausal season feeling disconnected from themselves.

And often, I find women arrive at this season already carrying a significant load - years of caring for others, meeting expectations, holding everything together, and pushing through exhaustion.

What can feel like a hormonal transition is often an invitation to slow down, listen more deeply, and begin responding to your body in a different way.
I created Midlife Nourishment because I'm walking this path too.
Alongside my own experience, I'm supporting many women through this season in the counselling room and witnessing how much they long for understanding, support, and a place to simply exhale.
I often think of this as the Wise Woman season - a threshold between who we've been and who we're becoming.
This isn't about fixing yourself. It's about understanding what's changing, reconnecting with your body, and learning how to support yourself with greater compassion, confidence, and care.

I'm Kate, a counsellor, yoga teacher, somatic educator, and women's wellbeing practitioner passionate about supporting women through the midlife transition.
Like many women, I found that the strategies and self care that once supported me no longer worked as I moved into perimenopause. Through my own experience of burnout, chronic fatigue, and learning to nourish myself differently, I discovered the profound connection between our hormones, nervous system, pelvic health, and overall wellbeing.
Today, I bring together over 15 years of experience in counselling, yoga, nervous system regulation, and somatic healing to help women better understand their changing bodies and navigate midlife with greater confidence, vitality, and self-trust.
I created Midlife Nourishment because I believe perimenopause isn't something we simply survive. It's an invitation to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and learn a new way of caring for our bodies in this season of life.

Our Guest Speaker: Lisa Fitzpatrick
Lisa Fitzpatrick has been a registered physiotherapist since 1993. Her work is grounded in safety, compassion, and deep respect for the wisdom of each woman’s body. With a focus on pelvic health, Lisa brings a nurturing, evidence-based, and holistic approach that gently supports women in reconnecting with their inner strength and vitality.
For over three decades, Lisa’s personal and professional journey has been anchored in the principles of yoga, mindfulness, and women’s empowerment. She has explored a range of movement and meditation practices, always returning to the question: how do we create safe pathways back into the body, especially for women?
Lisa has taught and spoken internationally on women's physiology and yoga anatomy, developing accessible, trauma-aware curriculum for yoga teacher trainings—particularly in prenatal and postnatal care. Through her business, Sacred Women’s Business, she’s guided hundreds of women to find their authentic voice and embodied confidence in both life and leadership.
In 2020, she created the Womankind Pelvic Floor and Hormone Balancing 30-hour Yoga Teacher Training—a Yoga Alliance–recognised program that honours the unique rhythm and intelligence of the female pelvis.
Lisa’s presence invites a felt sense of safety and possibility. Her work reminds us that when we listen to the body with kindness, we open up new pathways for healing, integration, and empowered living.
