Yoga-informed Therapy
Blending somatic counselling with trauma-informed yoga practices, we honour what your body is holding, without force or pressure to change it.
Where your body is gently heard - and softly beings to trust again
This isn’t a class. It’s not about stretching deeper or holding longer.
It’s an invitation inward — into a space where your body can soften, your breath can slow, and your nervous system can begin to feel safe enough to let go.
In these 1:1 sessions, we blend somatic counselling with trauma-informed yoga practices — gentle movement, stillness, and breath — at a pace that meets you exactly where you are. Together, we honour what your body is holding, without force or pressure to change it.
These sessions are for you if:
You feel disconnected from your body or unsure how to feel safe inside it
You live with chronic tension, fatigue, or nervous system dysregulation
You’re healing from trauma, grief, burnout, or emotional overload
You long for deeper body-based support that is therapeutic, not performative
We listen not just with words, but with movement.
With the subtle language of fascia, breath, emotion, and energy.
This is a space where nothing is too much — and you don’t have to explain everything to be deeply supported.
What to Expect
- Grounded check-ins woven with nervous system attunement
- Gentle movement sequences to meet your energy state
- Restorative postures, breathwork, and somatic release techniques
- Trauma-aware space: you’ll be invited, not instructed
- Emotional tracking, resourcing, and co-regulation throughout
Sessions unfold based on your body's needs — no two are ever the same.
A note from Kate
As a counsellor with additional training in trauma-informed yoga and somatic practices, I offer sessions for women who have talked through their struggles but still don’t feel settled in their bodies.
For some women, talking alone isn’t enough. The nervous system needs gentle, embodied support.
My approach to integrating movement and counselling is informed by specialised training with Dr Lauren Tober, including Mental Health Aware Yoga and an extended mentoring program focused on ethically blending therapeutic practice with trauma-informed movement. This ensures that any embodied work within our sessions remains grounded, clinically appropriate, and responsive to your nervous system’s capacity.
We begin slowly. With steadiness. Following your body’s lead.
Whether you’re navigating chronic stress, burnout, illness, spiritual trauma, or ongoing overwhelm, these sessions offer space to reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe and supported.
We start with one breath — and build from there.
